Support Streaming rate of up to 120 FPS

Feature Description:

Our users want the best capturing quality possible.
At the time being, we are capped to 60 FPS by the streaming API.
when setting an FPS value higher than 60 (e.g: 90), we get the following exception: START_STREAMING_ERROR_NOT_FPS_OUT_OF_RANGE
We would like to enable rate of up to 144 FPS.
(a user even requested for 240 FPS but we find it as an exaggeration at the time being)

impact for my app:

Mid (several users have requested this feature)

What is your current pain point?

Users screens support higher fps than 60.

What do you have in mind to solve it?

We would like to enable rate of up to 144 FPS.

Thanks, we will discuss that internally and let you know.

We added this feature request to our backlog.
We don’t have an ETA (maybe 0.181), though, and that can take some time to implement and release. Thank you for your patience.
We will update you here once it is ready.

Thanks.

@shir.brass Hey,

After researching the FR, we decided to reject it as OBS supports up to 120fps, so that’s what we’ll support.

With your permission, I will move ahead and close the issue.

Thanks.

So does that mean that 120fps is supported?
We can change the requirement to 120fps, as this is the max that you can

@shir.brass So, I’m changing the FR to 120 instead of 144. And I’ll update you.

@shir.brass We added the feature to 0.181. You can find this version in the developer’s channel.

Would you mind telling me if it’s working as expected?

Thanks.
