Give more info on overwolf.profile.getCurrentUser()

  • Feature Description:
    It would be nice adding as much info about user as possible on overwolf.profile.getCurrentUser(), like avatar, email, region etc. This will allow developers to rely on this case much more for signin users up to applications.

  • impact for my app: mid.

note for stuff: after FR is accepted, add a link to the internal ticket.

@Oleksa hi,

The function returns the avatar. But it not returns the email and country.
I’m checking this issue as it might be a privacy issue.

After internal discussion here, it might be a privacy issue:
The OW users that register to our platform not agreed to share all their info like emails with our partners (you, the app developers).
We might change it in the future, but currently, unfortunately, we will have to reject this FR. You can tell us if you think differently. We are always open to here our partners!
